We didn't need to get up early because we had managed to see all the Delphi sites yesterday and we had a very long day today driving back to Athens and catching the flights back home.
Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast on the first floor overlooking the street. Although there were fewer people in the street, there were tourist buses going by at regular intervals.
During our dinner last night, we had a view overlooking the valley and we had noticed a town on the shores of the sea. So we decided to go there today on our way to the airport. The town was called Itea. The TomTom got us there OK and we parked briefly next to the seaside and took a few photos. Itea seems to be a commercial port serving the surrounding agricultural areas.
The TomTom took us along a scenic coastal road before heading inland to join up with the motorways back to Athens. We reached the Avis drop-off point at about 1pm and then joined a long slow check-in queue at the Thai Airways departure area. The queue indicated that it might be a full plane and that's exactly what we found when we got on board.
Our seats were a pair of seats at the back of the plane - better than the 3-abreast rows in front of us because we didn't have to climb out over anyone else and I had more legroom.
Unfortunately I didn't get any sleep because it was right next to the toilets and so people kept bumping me as they waited their turn. Instead I watched several movies and read my book. As usual, Suzy had no trouble getting a full night's sleep.
